I forget were you yet ever to tape of purchase the must have 1970′s Dick Cavett Interviews TCM repeated around 2006 or not?The sole new interview was with: *Mel brooks-(l926-)
but the rest were with>Mitchum-(watch for someone off camera that keeps filling his glass), Groucho, Hitchcock & the topper, for me anyway was with *Kate Hepburn!
There were others as well-(P.S. will someone help out & cite theothers please)
I never knew he was 1/2 blackfoot Indian either.

& among his predix was “Away we Go” I’d almost nagged for him to keep his hand-in the annual game, but that was it for him, at least on the BP nods anyway-(check out goldderby/latimes.com) HERE’S HOPING HE COVERS MORE ONLINE & OR TV THOUGH-(he did for 2000 & 2002)
& as =I forecasted *J. Cameron’s mammoth 3-D epic “Avatar’ lead the charge with 9 nods. But, watch for “The Hurt locker’ down the home strectch. It already scored thee very first DGA winner for a woman director: Kathryn Bigalow!
& to make things more interesting-(for those into this type of gossip) *Cameron and Bigalow were once hitched!!!

Anyway, I digressed a bit.

It’s just the ever frozen “forums”-(once A #1 on entire net, movie-wise)
now limit of course what a longtime fan can write on ‘em??? & don’t have the extra time yet to really get into “TCM FILM COMMUNITY” & DON’T SEE THE LOG WHATSOEVER IN TCM NOT HAVING SOMEKIND OF FANS CONTEST-(& winner(s) could rec. that book, or other items,etc)

SUZIE, please forward idea & maybe you canhave own lil’ contest here?
& winner would just get so called “bragging rights”

On that final note, besides his 1 nod. for 1945′s powerful “Story of G.I. Joe” (strong ***1/2-out of 4)
& only for s. actor gold.
What other roles do you think he was robbed of an *AMPAS shot for?-(& gotta’ remember whom woulda’ been bumped,etc)

He said back in a special annual OSCAR-issue of “PREMIERE Mag”-(l987-2007) “Hell, I even Vited For *Jimmy Dunn” Unquote
