Really enjoyed it. I went through a Kurosawa phase a long time ago, but I think I would like to revisit him not that I am not so green. Wish I could attend the retrospective to see the movies on the big screen.

We are lucky to live in major cities that have alternative film programming. When I hear from friends in smaller cities or small towns, they rarely get to see anything that is not multi-plex material.

I’ll try to post some notes on the rest of the titles I’m able to watch – like I LIVE IN FEAR, an underrated drama about H-Bomb paranoia. Toshiro Mifune is wonderful in it.

I’m also pleased to see you utilized the image of the two characters lying in the grass, out of breath and ragged. Such an amazing scene – it always moves me whenever I watch the film.
