Will this movie ever come out on DVD? When you had the Dirk Bogarde day I was hoping this would be one of the films! It’s been so long since I’ve seen that it would be real treat to see it again.

I loved Janet Munro too as a kid. She was wholesomeness supreme. I don’t know if even now I can see her as anything else, especially her on-screen demise. So sad to hear about her personal life. I also love her in The Day the Earth Stood Still and a now, long forgotten black comedy, A Jolly Bad Fellow. I remember the trailer for that was quite odd and ended with a car wreck. At the theatre I saw it, the preview was followed immediately by an ad from a local advertiser. It was a still slide for a mortuary with flowers on a coffin. The audience went bonkers. Then the main feature began which wasn’t a comedy…oh my. Hard act to follow as they say.

I saw this many years ago, when it was first released. I am amazed to realize that I saw it at my local neighborhood theater in Pittsburgh. The main thing that I remember was that I liked it and that I wanted to be Sebastian, in charge of all these beautiful, brilliant women.

Why do you keep teasing us with movies we can’t easily see? Why not make your private stash available in some secret place on the web? Life is short, so is pleasure. Give it up. Please. I’m in love with Susannah York. Always have been. Must see this.
