Geez how I loved that movie when I was a kid. I was eight when it came out and had never seen a movie where a girl played sports just like I did. I think that was its initial draw for me. I’m looking forward to seeing it again in a couple of weeks on TCM!

I was an early Disney movie lover, then spurned them when I got older — no “Love Bug” for me, thanks — and have caught up with very few more recent ones.

The things you parents will do for your kids! :-) It’s great that yours will be exposed to both the newer versions and the older classic originals — and that we have a Morlock who can appreciate both, when appropriate!
