Hello! I enjoy watching old shows, the commercials that went with them, old landscapings. I love to reminise about it all. I am in my 50's an still love to live in the past. With each year that passes puts the past further away. Thank you for the memories.

does anyone remember the movie theater jingle featuring 3 real actors dressed as popcorn, a soda, and a hotdog that sang and danced prior to the start of your movie? Their purpose was to tell you to keep quite, silence cell phones, and use trash bins.I want to down load it but can't find it. Can anyone tell me the website?

I remember the Moonlight Drive-In (Buck a Car Load) in the Wilkes-Barre Pa. area. Their Intermission films were really chopped-up. One minute their would be a cartoon character saying 5 minutes to show time, and within a few seconds the film would burp and an annoying gong would chime –Only 10 minutes to show time.
Who could forget the rather good looking lady making facial expressions as cartoon characters ran around her head, and the Flying Saucer guy who purchases snacks.

My little old hometown of Camas, WA, had both a walk-in theater and a drive-in theater that ran LAGTTL at intermission. It was most effective at the drive-in where the smell of cooking hot dogs mingled with the warm summer night air and brought folks flocking into the concession building. Every time I think of that theme song I can still smell that intoxicating bouquet.
Ahhh!

Rick,

To check on your (and other) old theaters visit www.cinematreasures.org. Great site.

I have been leading a course on Films of the 50s and used this clip one day before class. Has the entire 10 minute intermission countdown used at D-I's including the classic hot dog jumping into the bun.

Suzidoll, you have done it again. Originally being from Chicago and still having family and friends there, My wife and I are frequent visitors. I remember going to the drive-in during the 50's and seeing LGOTTL and singing along. Driving by the drive-in at Harlem and Irving you could watch it just before the movie started. I believe there was a drive-in around North Ave and River Road. Also played at the now gone Elm Theatre in Elmwood Park.

By the way, where have many of the old movies houses gone?
