the past month, from December 19, 2006 to January 23, 2007, has been a nearly unprecedented orgy of film viewing for me. I've seen more first-run films in the past month than ever before. I've seen everyone of this year's Best Picture nominees. I can not remember when that has ever happened. It's been a good month, but it's also been a good time for movies. Lots of stuff out there. Interspersed with the new stuff, I've put some older films under my belt.
I've seen Flags of Our Fathers, The Devil Wears Prada, The Good German, Children of Men, Venus, Little Children, Last Train from Gun Hill, Meet Boston Blackie, A Passage to India, Men in Black, Superman Returns, Superman II–The Richard Donner Cut, Dreamgirls, The Queen, The Fountain, The Pursuit of Happyness, The Prestige, The Illusionist, The Painted Veil, Cars, Babel, Pan's Labryinth, Children of Paradise, Last King of Scotland, and many more.
I'm not bragging. Just saying how much fun it was to be able to do that, at least once in awhile.
Good to have you back, Danger Boy! I envy you your movie watching prowess! Ah, to be young again!
